The ranking method (FIP L1 — verify vs official)

Round-robin is used for ≤8 pairs (single group) or groups of 4 (up to 16). A walkover counts as 6-0 6-0.

  1. Rank primarily by number of matches won.
  2. Break ties using only the matches played among the tied teams (drop results vs non-tied teams):
    • Pairs: (a) set difference → (b) game difference → (c) draw/lot.
    • Teams (team competition): (a) matches → (b) sets → (c) games → (d) draw.
  3. Triple+ tie: apply step 2 to reduce the group; when exactly 2 remain tied, decide by head-to-head (their direct result), then draw.
